I like my flowers to feel deliberately undone with a balanced imbalance in colour and structure. My flowers are specially chosen for how they compliment and challenge each other in the most charming ways - this is the ethos of Still Life Flowers.

Favouring small businesses and a hands-on approach with the flowers, I love to work closely with my clients to provide bespoke floral designs.

Before working in floristry, I was previously an event manager and stylist designing and producing events for clients including M&C Saatchi, BBH and Eurostar. This experience has been invaluable in appreciating the full picture of any event, wedding or shoot.

Working alongside my clients I take the time to understand all the contributing elements that will impact the flowers themselves, be it the backstory of the bride and groom, or the venue decor and lighting scheme of an event. This helps me to create the best design outcome whilst capturing the essence of the occasion.

My work has been described as painterly, often reminding people of the Dutch Master paintings. This style of painting along with colour blocking and composition is what inspires my style and in turn inspired the name of the company.

I let the flowers dictate their own positioning, working with the natural shapes they provide me with to create movement and organic shapes. Instead of one hundred red roses of exactly the same shape, size and colour, I far prefer to create bespoke arrangements with more character.
